Great for quick trips and needs for the dayAugust 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This bag is used for my mini-go bag for waist carry on my good leg. I can stuff a folding crutch, a linux live CD in a case, and a decent sized paperback in the main section with a pocket knife, multi-tool, wipes, mp3 player, cell phone, and insect repellent in the side pouches. If I remove the crutches then a loaded Glock 36 with spare magazine can easily fit in the main section as well.
The smallest Versipack: Big on features and qualityJanuary 8, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A favorite of law enforcement, military and other outdoor 'tactical' types, this small wonder makes a great companion. I use mine for hiking, mountaineering and night-time dog walks, and it allows me to carry all that I need, without having to take a backpack or god forbid...a fannypack!
I can fit a large hunting knife in the zippered compartment (or a hefty multi-tool Leatherman), a large can of pepper spray and a medium flashlight on the sides, wallet, car keys and a large-ish digital point-and-shoot camera in the main compartment. (You could substitute the camera for a firearm, as it fits my cop roommate's Glock 17 + clip very well.) Alternatively, a large GPS unit and an MP3 player would also fit.
I wear the pack strap across my chest, slinger/bandolier-style, and the pack sits on my hip or lower back quite comfortably. You can also use the extra strap to secure the rig to your leg, although it makes one look like a SWAT/Spec Ops wannabe. One tip: I suggest you also purchase the strap shoulder pad offered as an accesory at the Maxpedition website.
Item was on wishlist, and person receiving it was very happy with it.December 29, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
It helped me a lot to see what my son was thinking about what he would like to have in my deciding on what to get for him. I really like the wishlist idea. I was there when he opened it, and he was quite pleased and happy with it. I don't know how it holds up or how he will continue to feel about it, but this is what I DO know. I am pleased with the wishlist way of shopping as I can pick things from it that I would like him to have that he wants also.
