Exercise Instructions and Video Demonstrations

Throughout How to Box are various workouts.  Some are boxing specific, some are strength training workouts, some are plyometrics, some are medicine ball workouts, and some are drills to improve your speed, agility, and power.  The exercises in these workouts come with strange names like hop ups, or vertical drops, and you very well may not have heard of all of these exercises.  This section of the site will attempt to teach you how to do those exercises through the use of video demonstrations (where possible), but for sure, I will try and instruct you through the mechanics of the exercise whether a video is currently available or not.

Where I have not had been able to provide a video, I've tried to find an existing one on the internet of sufficient quality to link to.  In future, I hope to have videos of all of these exercises for you to view, but for now you will have to be patient.  Some have videos, some do not.

This section is divided into 4 sections based on the How to Box 12 Week Boxing Workout:  boxing specific exercises, strength training exercises, plyometric exercises (includes medicine ball and 3 minute drills ) and body weight exercises (basically strength training without weights).  To find an exercise, first go to the section of the workout you are doing, then look through the list which is organized pretty logically, I believe.  (feel free to tell me I'm right out of her if it makes no sense at all.)

As always, if you can't find something or have a question, you can email me (or PM me here on the site.)  Enjoy.

I can see clearly now..

After Reading every word on this site, I went back and watched a clip that I have seen numerous times, this time at seeing it again, I understand much better not only what Tyson was doing but what made it so beautiful. However, at 00:31 he moves to his right, is that following a duck or a slip of the left hook? I also heard it said that its best to step to the outside of the of your opponents lead foot but this didn't seem to matter with Mike Tyson, it seemed he stood right in front of you and made adjustment as needed, any word on this?

I want to keep fighting because it is the only thing that keeps me out of the hamburger joints. If I don't fight, I'll eat this planet.
