Jack Dempsey vs Jess Willard - 1919

I've never quite seen a boxing match end so badly for someone as it did for Willard in this 1919 boxing match.  He suffered plenty of injuries - broken cheekbone, jaw, missing teeth, broken ribs.  Funny thing is that he wouldn't stay down.  All I can say is ouch and thanks for the evolution of boxing safety.

Roy Jones vs Felix Trinidad

In case you missed the fight - shame on you,  Chuck saves the day, however, and posted the full Jones vs Trinidad fight over on Sportaphile is your saviour.  Knockdowns in rounds seven and ten.  I won't tell you who won no matter how much I want to spoil it for you right now...

Knockout of the Night

There's always something fascinating about watching a punch connect that drops a boxer instantly.  Even more fascinating when it knocks him out of the ring...

Boxing and Steroids

Could this be the beginning of a boxing steroid scandal?  Hate to let baseball have all the fun.

Have a good night - check back tomorrow for a brand new boxing tip.

I have always adhered to two principles. The first one is to train hard and get in the best possible physical condition. The second is to forget all about the other fellow until you face him in the ring and the bell sounds for the fight.
