I have always adhered to two principles. The first one is to train hard and get in the best possible physical condition. The second is to forget all about the other fellow until you face him in the ring and the bell sounds for the fight.

the basics like hand wraps gloves skipping rope and a heavy bag should get u part way started...
have a search on the basics of getting started..
also if u have a mirror at home try and do some shadow boxing and watch yourself in the mirror and watch yourself try and perfect your techniques and foot work..
and if u truly wanna become a great boxer i would sudggest finding a trainer to help as theres only so much u can learn from reading a webpage.. :)
