Any one watching the olympic trials? Lots of good bouts especially in the lower weight levels; plenty of action. I'm watching a bout, I think at the flyweight/batamweight level with Mongolia vs US. Don't know their names but very enjoyable to watch. Also it's something different to watch other than professional fights. The point system is different: Amateur boxers get one point for each punch that lands flush along the white tip of the glove, and pro boxers receive points, up to 10, per round. Also, in general, amateur boxing is more technical in my opinion, and it's not necessarily about knocking out an opponent unless a boxer is behind on points.

I have always adhered to two principles. The first one is to train hard and get in the best possible physical condition. The second is to forget all about the other fellow until you face him in the ring and the bell sounds for the fight.
