ok for admin this is the question im trying to ask ive posted a couple of them in different places but i have the full question now and youll only have to answer once
im 6'3-6'4 148 lbs and i want to be closer to 160 i dont want to leave middleweight class. anyways i got a problem i need to get bigger and i want muscle mass so....
i have seen a weight gaining program on here in a different section of the forums that u put up a year ago but i was just about to start your 12 week program on here do i
focus on gaining the weight on my major muscles for a couple months and then start your twelve week program and hit the boxing gym and work on all my techniques etc
or do i go strait into your 12 week and it will help my muscle gain during the program....... favorably im looking to get bigger fast i think thats what i need before i worry about the overall training of my body .....but im trying to eat right and ive checked out your nutritional facts written down what i need daily and trying as hard as i can to meet them and im even already starting to look a little bigger. i was only doing sets of push ups and sit ups and i just started going to the gym for the last week or so and trying to hit it hard.
what should i do??? ive been trying to battle being this thin for a while and i think im finally getting it but i want to get into boxing by my 18th birthday and thats 3.5 months away i mean if thats not realistic for training just let me know im looking for help because im really really trying to get in my first fight by b4 my ninteenth birthday

I answered in the forum, but here you go as well. First, decide exactly what you want. Do you want to get big NOW or do you want to box. If you are concerned about the way you look and just want to put on muscle then follow that program you found, it works very nicely.
If you want to be a great boxer, then don't worry about how thin you are right now. In 3.5 months you can literally change your entire physique. I know this for fact. I've seen hundreds of new recruits go through this in less than 3 months. Putting on muscle is hard for some people, but not impossible.
The 12 week program (of which only 6 weeks are currently online...others are coming when I get the time) is an incredibly intensive program and to be quite honest, I know a lot of beginners will have problems following it exactly as it is and initially they will have to break it down, doing as much as they can until their conditioning improves to a point where it allows them to do more. That's okay because as long as you push yourself, your body will adapt and you will get stronger, bigger, and faster.
The program encompasses all aspects of your training except what a coach can provide. (why you need to find a good trainer...) It includes strength training, so even if you are not solely lifting weights, you are going to see an improvement in your physique, muscle size and so on if you follow it and eat right, which it sounds like you are trying to do.
Do a 12 week cycle and then assess where you are at. Take pictures now and compare them every week or two. You will be amazed at the differences.
your right i wasnt very clear as of what i wanted. no im not looking to get big for the ladies or anything i want to become a better boxer while gaining my muscle and making them functional with power and speed.so as i think your pointing out that is the whole point of your program so even though i wont be able to reach each target ill try as hard as i can and ill try that...taking the pictures now and in a couple of weeks. thanks for answering and so quick too.
so do you think the goals i listed above are really realistic and i could achieve them if i try hard enough?
kami answered this question earlier but do you think being a thinner taller fighter will hold me back in the long run? i want to take this as far as i can and i want it more badly than i want anything else. alright until next time
