If your opponent is a slow, but hard hitting fighter. How do you handle it. He has very slow feet, and he trows uncontrollabel hard punches. I got fast hands, and quick feet. How do I beat this opponent
If you have fast feet, use them. Move around the ring, and utilize lateral (side to side) movement. Keep just out of range of his big shots, alert and ready to dodge/counter. and like n12k said, tire him out. Also, don't neglect your offense, especially when you have the edge in speed on a guy. Be ridiculous with your jab. If there was ever an opportunity to stick and move, this is it. Jab, double-jab, never let him set his feet to punch. Even if you're only going four rounds, maintain patience, remain content to keep him at bay and make him look bad. If you notice he's visibly worn towards the end of your session, and you're confident doing it, try to capitalize on his exhaustion and take him down (i.e. start throwing hard 3-4 punch combinations, with an uppercut or two in the mix). Also, earier in the fight, look for him to start anticipating your jab. When you see him trying to a.) slap it away with his glove, or b.) ducking in a certain direction to avoid it, try a feint followed by a hard right. That'll keep him guessing, and ultimately just make more openings for your jab.
body shots, body shots, body shots a big puncher is gunna throw alot of hooks counter with solid punches to the ribs and solarplex if he is out of shape he wont be able to handle any clean shot to the stomach and even if he is in shape they will add up as the fight goes on just dont let your opponent land any combos because after the jab he will most likely follow it up with a big upper cut of hook. try to tire him and and dont let him land the big ones. 20 body shots = massed up ribbs in the 5 and 6th round. good luck
Be careful throwing to his body, as that will bring you within his range and put you in danger of catching one of his big shots. If I were you, wait till he's exhausted from chasing you and then attack the body. A guy who's already gassed should crumple if you bang to the body.
