Definately get a heavy bag,
Definately get a heavy bag, it is a great investment. I would recommend between an 80-100 lb starting out depending on your weight. Everlast makes great heavy bags, you can hang them on rafters if you have the tools lying around. I would forget bag gloves and just buy regular 16 oz gloves. Bag gloves are too light for me and they hurt my hand because they are much to light and do not have enough padding. I hit the bag with 16 oz gloves which are roughly 4 oz's heavier than the average bag glove. This will increase your hand speed and power dramatically (using the weighted glove that is).Concerning a speed rope, I would purchase the "Plastic Speed Rope" sold at titleboxing.com I've used to for 10 months and have never had a problem. It is cheap as well. Good luck man. Harrison
