Hi, I am just getting into boxing and strength training, and i am not very familiar with all the different equipment. I am on a budget as far as money for new equiptment. My question is this, i currently have a bio force home gym (similar to a bow flex) my dad gave to me a while back, and i am wondering if this would work instead of using free weights like most of the workout plans on the site mention? Will i see the same results or would i be better off getting free weights? Thanks Bill

Try it out
Anything that will offer you some resistance will help you develop. That could even be just your bodyweight. If you're on a budget and not able to go buy free weights, then stick with what you have until you outgrow it. You'll have to alter the programs here, but take a look at each exercise and see how you can perform it on the bioforce. Target the same muscle group, give it some resistance, and you are doing essentially the same thing as free weights. Ultimately, free weights are the way to go as they develop a number of stabilizer muscles as you work the larger muscle groups (the muscles that balance and adjust), but in the beginning, use what you have. At some point, and you'll know it, you can consider upgrading your equipment.
