What training can I do to burn fat off? I run in the morning wearing the norm with a sweat suit top underneath but lower chest seems not to be shifting much, I would of thought the run would shed the fat as its a real heart wrencher and tugs at your blood pressure !! I do a few other things but nothing that I would say burn a lot of fat.

Re: Learn How to Box: The Basics

Hey, kamzter.

Burning fat, especially when your goal is to trim down your chest, takes a while. Running is great and will definitely burn fat (provided your diet is correct, i.e. less caloric intake than what you're burning). Jumping rope is also great. But in my opinion, nothing beats hitting a heavy-bag. Great workout, great stress relief.

For your chest: Push-ups. Lots of push-ups. You could also lift weights, which (in combination with running, especially) will also burn a lot of fat.

Hope that helps.

build muscle
It takes more calories to support muscle (this is importent) EVEN AT REST than it does to support fat. So if you build muscle you are making a fat burning machine. Steady aerobic training is not that good (well no training where you do the samething is) your body adapts to the stress and your progress levels off. Working in stages, cycles what ever you want to call it where the intensity level; changes, that keeps your body guessing and you making progress. Add some push ups and some grass hill or bleacher sprints for a change into your running. When you get used to that 2-3 weeks change somemore Also helps keep you from being bored Rock The rest of life starts now, I can't go back and change the past With enough determination, I can shape the future!

Weight loss question
Gotta give props on the saying at the end. Some good info there also. I lost nearly 20 in about a month and a half of running and training. During my runs I always had that sweat or sauna suit on, but only the top not the bottoms. Does anybody know if that really helps u lose weight? I know it make u lose water weight but would anybody recommend it for losing weight?

Nope
Like you said the sauna suits make you lose water weight and quite frankly, unless you are trying to make a certain weight, there is no good reason to be training in it. You do not want to dehydrate yourself on a continuous basis. Lose the sauna suit until you need it.

That was always the difference between Muhammad Ali and the rest of us. He came, he saw, and if he didn't entirely conquer -- he came as close as anybody we are likely to see in the lifetime of this doomed generation.
