Re: boxing stance
Hey I also have a tendency to do the same while fighting. In a boxing match I would not reccomend it, in a real brawl i find it just as effective. But boxing in suchh a way is like overcompensating for a feeling of weakness in the nondominant arm.

writing right, fighting south paw
yeah i do the same thing, and usually if you go against it you will be more effective unless you are totally left handed fight with your right

southpaws
There are other posts on the site that I've left about this topic. Briefly, it's all a matter of comfort. If you are more comfortable with your dominant hand (the right) in the lead, and are more comfortable circling to your right, then you should be a southpaw. If not, then maybe you should fight orthadox. There are a lot of factors to take into account. Do you have a strong left hand? What kind of a style would you like to develop? More emphasis on movement and speed (which might be benefited by a southpaw jab)? Or more power oriented (where you would rely on your strong right hand from the orthadox position)? A lot of things to consider, that only you can decide. GOOD LUCK!!
