1st Fight!
Hey everyone. I have my first unofficial fight on thursday, April 24th. Not a single person belivies i can beat this kid. He's a nationally ranked amature welterweight and a pretty damn good fighter. Me? Im a 6'4, 180lb beging boxer. I hit the heavy and speed bag often and feel i have a natural ability to fight. I think if i keep my openent at bay with my jab I can beat him. My only concern is that I like to switch to south paw and throw a right jab but this kid has a vicious left hook. He bobs, weaves, and slips alot, which might be a problem for me.. Hes only about 5'8"-9". He has a chin, also! Anybody have any suggestions or helpful tips?? Id really like to beat this oponent and if not, id like to fight a good, close fight.

So, how did you do?

How about an update? Did you prove everyone right, or did you manage the upset?

Hey. well...lol I did prove

Hey.
well...lol
I did prove everyone right but fought a decent fight. The difference in experience play a factor. He rocked me a few time with hooks i never seen comming. I fought hard though and managed to knock him down. It was a flash knockdown from what i reviewed (on video) as a perfect righ cross. He tko'd me but thats what he does so i dont feel bad that i lost. Every one says i fought him better then anyone from our school yet and that i forced him to fight better then when he clowns around with others.. I was feeling it later though :)

It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up.
